No7 Knife and Tool produces American-made fixed blade knives that combine modern blade materials with traditional craftsmanship. Based in the mountains of North Georgia, this independent knife company creates purpose-built cutting tools with clean lines, dependable construction and close attention to detail.
Founded by knifemaker Dustin Sumner, No7 Knife Company approaches each design as more than an ordinary cutting tool. The company’s goal is to produce functional, heirloom-quality knives that can be carried, used and eventually passed down to the next generation.
At Knife Country USA, customers can shop No7 Vector fixed blade knives in several handle colors and materials. These compact full-tang knives feature Nitro-V stainless steel blades, sculpted handles and fitted Kydex belt sheaths.
The Vector is a compact fixed blade designed to provide the strength of a full-tang knife in a manageable seven-inch overall size. Its 3.25-inch drop-point blade offers a practical combination of slicing performance, point control and durability.
The balanced blade shape makes the Vector suitable for many everyday and outdoor cutting jobs, including opening packages, cutting cord, preparing materials around camp and handling general utility work. Its compact proportions make it easier to carry than a large hunting or survival knife while still providing the stability of fixed-blade construction.
A lanyard hole at the end of the handle provides an additional attachment option for users who want to add cordage, a retention loop or a personalized knife lanyard.
No7 Vector knives feature Nitro-V stainless steel blades with a black stonewashed finish. Nitro-V is a modern blade steel developed to provide a useful balance of corrosion resistance, edge stability, toughness and sharpenability.
These characteristics make Nitro-V a strong choice for a working fixed blade. It can handle routine cutting tasks while remaining relatively easy to maintain with proper sharpening equipment.
The black stonewashed finish gives the Vector a subdued appearance while helping disguise minor scratches and marks that naturally develop during regular use. As with any quality knife, the blade should be cleaned and dried after use. Occasional application of a light knife oil can provide additional protection during long-term storage.
Every Vector knife uses full-tang construction. This means the blade steel extends through the entire length of the handle instead of stopping near the blade or being attached to a separate handle component.
Full-tang construction creates a solid connection between the blade and handle. It is commonly preferred for fixed blade knives intended for regular field, outdoor and utility use because it provides strength, balance and dependable handling.
The Vector’s sculpted handle scales are shaped to create a comfortable grip while maintaining the knife’s streamlined profile.
No7 Vector knives are available with sculpted G10 or Micarta handles.
G10 is a fiberglass-based laminate valued for its strength, dimensional stability and resistance to moisture. Knife Country USA offers Vector models with black, gray and coyote tan G10 handles, giving customers several color choices without changing the knife’s core design.
Micarta is another durable composite material frequently used on premium working knives. The natural Micarta Vector has a traditional appearance and a comfortable feel that may develop additional character as the knife is carried and used.
Both materials provide a secure platform for the hand while standing up well to changing outdoor conditions.
Each No7 Vector includes a fitted black Kydex belt sheath. Kydex is a rigid thermoplastic material that provides secure retention while protecting the blade during storage and transportation.
Unlike leather, Kydex does not readily absorb water and requires minimal maintenance. The fitted design allows the knife to remain securely contained while keeping it accessible for outdoor, work or everyday utility use.
Because the available Vector models share the same blade steel, dimensions and construction, the primary choice is handle material and color. Customers who prefer a modern appearance can select black, gray or coyote tan G10. Those who favor a more traditional look may prefer the natural Micarta model.
