Why won't my flashlight light up? 

• Take care to remove the battery's plastic slide before proceeding. The +ve indicator should be towards the head of the battery when it is installed correctly, so double-check this. The tail-cap and head threads can be cleaned with paper tissue or a soft cloth 
• Reinstall the fresh, completely charged batteries in the light and remove the tail cap by unscrewing and pulling it out. 
• Use a paper clip or key to turn it on by placing it on the flat center of the battery and then pressing it against the light's metal body's outside edge.

 

My flashlight flickers when it's turned on for no apparent reason

If the battery is towards the end of its life, this may be the source of the problem.
