A Muskrat knife also known as a “traditional Muskrat pocket knife” or “old fashion Muskrat knife” is a two bladed pocket knife. These blades are made of stainless, carbon or Damascus steel. The blade configuration is as follows; the blades on the Muskrat are both clip blades; one on each end of the knife. Both of the blades are slip-joint non locking blades (the backspring of the knife creates a “snap” that keeps the blade from closing). Muskrat knives usually have three polished nickel silver bolsters. These bolsters can be squared or rounded depending on the exact model.
How big are Muskrat Knives?
Muskrat pocket knives range in size from 2 inches overall closed to 4 inches overall closed. The smallest are considered Tiny Muskrat Knives followed by Small Muskrat Knives then Standard or Medium Muskrat Knives and the largest are Large Muskrat Knives.
