Higonokami #6 Knife Series by Higonokami Knives

Higonokami 6 Knife Series are a prized possession for any ardent knife collector. These knives were first manufactured in 1894, in the Migi City, Hyogo Prefecture. Since then, the knife has been in continuous production. The entry of new stylish and modern knives has not impacted the popularity of these rather straightforward folding knives. These knives are scarce in today’s time as very few traditional knife makers are involved in its production who are not able to meet the huge demand. Like other Higonokami knives, these Higonokami 6 series are also foldable knives without any sophisticated locking mechanism. It uses the friction of the swivel or the pressure of the user’s thumb on the lever (also known as chikiri) to prevent the knife from folding during use. Its blade is forged from superior quality blue paper steel and has high hardness and strength. What distinguishes the Higonokami 6 Knife series from other Higonokami knives is its ceramic-coated green iron handles and size variation.
