By Michael J P. on June 3, 2020I'm a fairly crazed weapon enthusiast, collecting what I also will use. I don't recommend ANYTHING to my friends or anyone else unless I know personally it is good. Also I am from back when the Corps still had 1911s and Ka-Bars. I'm jealous of the killer USMC bayonet from Ontario-had to buy one! Liked it enough that I got a second one. This Fox Read more take on the Ka-Bar is really good. Takes a great edge, comes with one already, and the ABS grip plus the coating of all metal parts takes care of the main field weakness of the old Ka-Bars, jungle rot of the leather grip and rust on the carbon blade. Still, I like the sheath being sort of reminescent of the originals. I really like the improvements that you can't see, the stainless hilt and pommel! Coated and protected, you have a stronger protection and striking ability. The overall black out of the whole unit is great, I'd love to see an olive drab version and a dark earth someday-or maybe I'll make my own-after all, I have two of these, ha ha! Semper Fi!
