Southern Grind manufactures high-quality, American-made knives in Peachtree City, Georgia, from their metal shop. The Rhino is a strong fixed blade knife with a D2 steel blade. Because of its high chromium content, D2 steel has mild corrosion resistance when hardened making them ideal to be used for challenging tasks where accuracy and precision are required to bring out great results. The black micarta handle gives their premium quality an edge over other knives. Micarta is a thermoset plastic that can withstand temperature extremes, resists moisture, and does not brittle with age. In some of the knives, the handle is provided with a detachable OLIGHT S10 Baton LED flashlight along with 400 max lumens and 104m beam distance. Additionally, the handles have an ingenious design that includes a built-in two-stage flashlight. This light is detachable, but it also works well from the handle position. As a bonus, the knife's pommel has a lanyard hole and a bottle opener. It includes a black Kydex belt sheath with a button snap. The Southern Grind Rhino is built to last and has a functional design.
