Model - EK44. Commando Model 4 Fixed Blade Knife. 12.63 inch overall. 6.63 inch black finish 1095 Cro-Van steel parkerized double edged spear point blade. Blade features "John Ek inch signature, "Commando Knife Co inch and logo blade etches. Hardened to 56-58 HRC. Full tang. Textured black glass filled nylon handles with traditional X-head fasteners. Black finish 1095 Cro-Van steel guard. Lanyard hole. Molded black Celcon sheath with retaining strap, self-locking function and multiple tie-down points. Proudly made in the USA.

    I am really impressed at the quality, design, and over all "toughness" of the EK 44 commando knife. It looks and feels like it could stand up to any form of abuse. Surprisingly, the handle fits the hand very ergonomically well. It is wrought from 1/8" thick steel, and has nice weight to it. The sheath is also comparable to the knife in quality. All in all I call it very well made.
