Denix Replica Luger Series includes a selection of replicas of Luger pistols. The Parabellum pistol or model 1908 (P08), popularly known as Luger, was a semi-automatic pistol driven by recoil, which survived the restrictions of the Treaty of Versailles. It was designed by Georg Luger in 1898 and produced by the German arms factory Deutsche Waffen und Munitions fabriken (DWM) from the year 1900. These pistols were used by German soldiers in the First and Second World Wars and were very popular throughout the 20th century. Denix has successfully replicated different versions of luger pistol such as 1144 Luger P08 Artillery Model, 1145L Luger P08 Artillery Model and includes 59 Luger PO8 Bullet Replica. This model resembles the original pistol in dimension, features, weight, and looks. They are non-firing replicas and used as dummy models in the collection or as decorative accessories. The simulated mechanism of firing and loading gives an experience of how real pistols worked.
