Traditional knife-making skills are used to create OTTER knives/pocket knives in Solingen, Germany. Each model has meticulous German hand craftsmanship, honing, and finishing for a trustworthy, long-lasting knife. The Berns brothers began the OTTER company in 1840 at a typical grinder's watermill in Solingen, with the name and logo derived from the region's otters. Frank Rommel took over the company in 2011 and is steering the traditional manufacturer into the future. Hunting knives, domestic knives, and models for florists and hobbyists are all part of the OTTER product line, and all bear evidence of the sturdy quality of knives created in Solingen, Germany. These sturdy sailors and boat knives feature carbon or stainless steel blade as an option. Blades made from either of the materials are extremely strong and have high edge retention capabilities. The two brass rivets add a distinctive touch to the smoked oak wooden shells. This strong, fixed knife is finished off with a brass grommet and a high-quality leather quiver. The leather sheaths protect the blades of the knives and increase their lifetime.
