The blade of the knife is made up of 4034 stainless steel, which has chrome in it, making it highly rust-proof.  It has a slip joint locking system, and hang packaging. These German-made knives are highly durable, although not used in the traditional sense, these knives are handy and very much usable indoors. The thumb fissure ground into the blade enables accurate manipulation.
