Knife Country, USA

Originally named Princeton Tectonics, the company was founded in 1975 in Princeton, New Jersey. The fledgling firm initially specialized in scuba and diving accessories. In the ensuing years, the company shortened its name and expanded its product offerings to include a range of outdoor, bicycle, tactical, and other lighting products.

It has two broad categories - Sector 5 and Sector 7. Sector 5 packs a powerful 550 lumen beam with the convenience of a pistol grip for momentary or constant illumination. Four C-cell batteries minimize bulk while providing 24 hours of burn time. On the other hand, Sector 7 packs 700 lumens. Eight C-cell batteries provide 30 hours of burn time. The trigger switch is easy to use with gloved hands; access momentary on via a half-pull and constant on via a full-pull. The trigger locks out to prevent accidental activation and battery drain while in transit or storage.
